Business Managers Mission Statement

Samcon Engineering is a proud wholly owned Australian manufacturing and engineering services business. We have an amazing 30 year history of supplying many industries & partnering with Australia's Tier One organisations to deliver a quality product to meet our customers' needs. We have a dynamic & driven young management team along with a very experienced workforce, many of our key employees have been with the organisation for over 25 years.

Our focus over the last year has been to enhance the well established systems of business by introducing a state of the art Manufacturing Software Package (MRP), a National Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, along with Key Performance Indicators for all staff. These and other fundamental platforms have allowed for Samcon to be a truly integrated management system that is designed to be result driven and yet safety focused.

As a dedicated and dynamic team we believe there are three main critical points we need to ensure we are hitting every time – they are the Quality of the product, the Delivery of the product and the Pricing of the product. All our systems, KPI's and management tools are designed and integrated to ensure that we are focused on our client's deliverables.

Employee Safety and the highest Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards forms a very large part of what we do each day. Our culture has always been and will always be to provide a safe environment for all employees. To this degree we have an Independent OH&S Committee, daily briefings, a National Safety Manager and we have external consultant assessment of our workshops. This ensures we as a company are above industry standards to be at the forefront of the engineering sector.

Our proudest moment as an organisation resides in the fact that we recently achieved 16 year accreditation history of ISO 9001 Quality Assurance. We are part of a very small group of engineering firms that have this honour.

A key fundamental we hold very close to our heart is training. We have reinvested heavily in our staff as this is a critical tool to empower personnel to take the next step in their careers.

In 2011 and 2012 we will have trained all workshop and management staff in Certificate III in Competitive Manufacturing, Certificate IV in Business Administration, Certificate III in Frontline Management and Certificate IV in Business Management.

This constitutes having our valuable staff dedicated each week to training rooms and in theory and practical work and assessments. As a business owner and manager, I value the critical investment in training personnel over many things. For as we go on this journey it is important to up skill all personnel for the business and the personnel to achieve the goals we all envision.

We believe we are uniquely placed in the industry to be a friend of many and an enemy of none. We partner and work in with all sizes of organisations and key driver of dynamics and cost controls ensures we provide the largest organisations with the approach that enhances their capabilities.
