Toolmaking requires an extremely specialised knowledge base that requires an imminent set of skills in the fields of processes, materials and applications. Unfortunately with the slowdown in manufacturing and the complete loss of skills over the years by a lack of investment in training, there has seen a significant reduction in Australia’s ability to compete in this key area.

Fortunately for Samcon we have been operating for over 30 years and our longest toolmakers have been with us for that time frame. We are extremely fortunate to have very experienced toolmakers who all have been with the organisation for that time and have the necessary skills to resolve any problem.
